Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quietide app for iOS and watchOS ("Quietide", "the app"), published by Quietide ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Using the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Quietide on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement and these Terms.

Not a medical device

Quietide plays ambient sound to help mask noise and support relaxation. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the app is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a sleep disorder or a hearing condition, talk to a qualified healthcare provider.

Purchases

The current release of Quietide is entirely free to use — every sound and feature is available with no purchase required. We may introduce optional in-app purchases or subscriptions in a future version to unlock additional content; any such purchases will be processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Nothing in the app is designed to interrupt or stop playback because of a purchase, lapsed subscription, or trial ending.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the app's audio assets for redistribution;
• Use the app in a way that violates any applicable law; or
• Attempt to disrupt or overload any service the app connects to.

Third-party services

The app uses Aptabase for anonymous analytics. This release shows no ads and Google AdMob is switched off; we may use AdMob for advertising and RevenueCat for purchases if and when those are enabled in a future version. Your use of any of these services is also subject to their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Changes to the app or these Terms

We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the app at our discretion.
