Privacy Policy

Quietide ("Quietide", "we", "us") makes a sleep-sounds app for iOS and watchOS. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what choices you have. We built Quietide to work fully offline wherever possible, and we've tried to keep the amount of data we touch as small as that promise allows.

Information we collect

Anonymous usage analytics. We use Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics provider, to understand how the app is used — for example, which sounds get played, whether a sleep timer was started, or whether the app was opened. Aptabase does not use cookies, does not collect IP addresses in an identifiable form, and does not track you across apps or websites. No account, name, email address, or advertising identifier is attached to this data.

Advertising

This release of Quietide shows no ads. We integrate Google AdMob in the app for a possible future release, but it is switched off and does not run, load, or collect any data in this version. If we turn ads back on in a future version, this policy will be updated first to describe what Google AdMob collects and the choices you'll have (including the App Tracking Transparency prompt) before that version ships.

Information stored only on your device

Your saved sound mixes, fan settings, sleep-timer preferences, and last-played mix are stored locally on your device (and shared between the app, its widgets, and your Apple Watch via an iOS App Group) so that everything keeps working offline. We never see this data — it never leaves your device.

In-app purchases

Quietide's current release is entirely free — there are no purchases or subscriptions to make. If we introduce optional purchases in a future version, they will be processed by RevenueCat and Apple's App Store, and this policy will be updated first.

Children's privacy

Quietide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below and we'll remove it.

Your choices

• You can decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt at any time.
• You can reset your device's advertising identifier in iOS Settings.
• You can delete all locally stored app data by deleting the app.

Data retention

Anonymous analytics events are retained by Aptabase according to their own retention policy. Data stored on your device stays there until you delete the app or clear its data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes — for example, when we reintroduce optional purchases. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
